The 8th Annual Southern Village Holiday 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run was held scheduled for Sunday, November 13th, at 2:00 p.m. at Market Street in Southern Village. Proceeds from this event support the many community projects of the Chapel Hill Service League, including the signature Christmas House project. The event was a huge success with runners and their families. The date for next year's race will be announced soon. To learn more, visit www.sv5k.com. |

Sylvia Hatchell, UNC Women's Basketball Coach and Honorary Christmas House Chair hosted the annual Wish Tree Party to benefit Christmas House. Event was held Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 7 p.m. at Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, next to Foster's Market. The UNC Women's Basketball Team joined us for this fun, family event. A good time was had by all!

Our league year kicked off with a Potluck Dinner, on Monday, September 19th and will officially end at our awards meeting in May. However, league members are active in community projects year-round. |
