Chapel Hill Service League 2011 Grant Information
The Chapel Hill Service League is an all-volunteer women’s organization with a mission to provide service for the community and personal growth for our diverse membership.
In keeping with our mission, the Chapel Hill Service League will award grants of $1,000 to $2,500 to organizations and projects that support the League’s mission and reflect our priority of serving women and children in our community.
Eligibility
Grants will only be considered for organizations that qualify as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and are based in Chapel Hill or vicinity and devoted primarily to benefiting the citizens of those communities.
Projects must not discriminate on the basis of race/ethnicity, national origin, or sexual orientation.
The Chapel Hill Service League will not consider requests to fund individuals, endowments, capital campaigns, or projects promoting political views.
Deadline
Grant requests must be received by December 31, 2011. No emailed or faxed applications will be accepted. The application form can be downloaded here.

Notification of Grant Award
The Chapel Hill Service League will review grant requests between January 1, 2012 and March 31, 2012 and applicants will be notified between April 1, 2012 and May 1, 2012.
Grant Stipulations
Grant funds must be spent within six (6) months of award date. All organizations are required to complete a financial report detailing the specific use of the grant funds. This form will be given at the time of the award and due within six months of award date.
